Canada-Visa Extension View

Requirement:

  • If you want to extend your stay as a visitor or change your status (from international student or worker to visitor for example), you should apply at least 30 days before your current status expires.

 

A visitor record is for people who want to

  • extend their stay in Canada as a visitor, or
  • change their permit type from
    • a study permit to a visitor record
    • a work permit to a visitor record

The expiry date for your status is on

  • the stamp in your passport (this is NOT the date included on your visitor visa)
    • if you don’t have a stamp in your passport, the expiry date is 6 months from the day you entered Canada
  • your study permit
  • your work permit or
  • your visitor record (if you’ve already extended your stay)

Canada-Post-Graduate Work Permit View

Requirements:

  • They have completed an academic, vocational or professional training program at an eligible institution in Canadathat is at least 8 months in duration leading to a degree, diploma or certificate.
  • They have maintained full-time student status in Canada during each academic session of the program or programs of study they have completed and submitted as part of their post-graduation work permit application. Exceptions can be made only for the following:

They have received a transcript and an official letter from the eligible DLI confirming that they have met the requirements to complete their program of study.

Note: The transcript and official letter must be included in a post-graduation work permit application.Valid study permit

Canada-Temporary Foreign Worker Program Work Permit View

Requirements:

  • Employers must obtain a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire foreign workers to fill temporary labour and skill shortages. The LMIA verifies that there is a need for a temporary worker and that no Canadians or permanent residents are available to do the job.

Canada-Co-op Work Permit View

Requirements:

  • Valid study permit
  • Have a letter from your school that confirms all students in your program need to complete work placements in Canada to get their degree, and your co-op placement or internship totals 50% or less of your study program

Canada-Provincial Nominee Class (PNC) Work Permit View

Requirements:

  • Have a nomination certificate from a province or territory
  • Have provided a copy of the nomination letter issued by the nominating province or territory along with their application, and there is no indication that employment restrictions exist as conditions of the nomination.

Canada- Spouse/Common-law Partner Open Work Permit View

Requirements:

  • Your spouse/common-law patner has a valid work permit, and work as NOC 0, A, B.
  • Your spouse/common-law patner has a valid study permit (at least 8 months before it expires)
  • A complete permanent residence application has been submitted under the SCLPC class and is currently being processed, or has been received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for processing
  • A Canadian citizen or permanent resident spouse has submitted a sponsorship application on their behalf,
  • The SCLPC class applicant resides at the same address as the sponsor,
  • The SCLPC class applicant has valid temporary resident status or their application for restoration of status with authorization to work has been received and the officer is satisfied that the SCLPC class applicant is eligible for restoration

Canada-Study Permit (from inside Canada) View

Requirements:

  • A minor child in primary or secondary school or an exchange or visiting student
  • Letter of Acceptance - a student who has completed a short-term course or study program, which is a condition for being accepted at a DLI。
  • Have a temporary resident permit (TRP) valid for at least  6 months , or their family member。
  • A spouse or common-law partner (and their family members) being sponsored to immigrate。
  • A person with a  study permit from a  visa officeabroad, and the permit was issued before you got to Canada, who wants to keep studying。
  • A  family member or  private staff member of a foreign representative who is properly accredited。
  • A foreign national or their family member with a valid study or work permit, who wants to stay in Canada longer to study

Canada-Super Visa View

Requirements:

  • letter of invitation from your child or grandchild who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada that includes:
    • a promise of financial support for the duration of your visit
    • the list and number of people in the household of this person
    • a copy of this person’s Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document
  • proof that your child or grandchild’s household meets the minimum necessary income; examples include:
    • Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1 for the most recent tax year
    • Employment Insurance stubs
    • employment letter including salary and date of hiring
    • pay stubs
    • bank statements
  • proof of payment for medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that is:
    • valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry
    • at least $100,000 coverage
  • a document confirming that you had an immigration medical exam

加拿大-Transit Visa View

Requirements:

  • Your international flight stops at a Canadian airport on its way to another country
  • You’ll be connecting between 2 international flights at a Canadian airport
  • You’ll transit through Canada in 48 hours or less
  • You don’t have a valid visitor visa

Travelling to or from the United States You may be able to transit without a visa if you hold a passport from one of the countries below and you meet certain conditions:

  • China
  • Indonesia
  • Philippines
  • Thailand
  • Taiwan (holder of passport without an personal identification number)

Canada-Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) View

Requirements:

  • Visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air

Application process: 

  • Get your passport, credit or debit card ready, and read the help document.
  • Use the online form to apply. The form cannot be saved. So have your information ready.
  • Pay $7 CAD for your eTA right after you complete the form.
  • Get an email about your eTA application. Most applications are approved within minutes. OR
  • You may need to submit documents before your application can be approved. If this happens to you, an email will be sent with instructions within 72 hours.
